Founded in 1977, the Capital City Farmers Market has been bringing local producers and customers from near and far together to create this eclectic community event for 40 years.
The market is open year-round and held at several venues, the biggest is its outdoor summer market.
Over 50 vendors gather each Saturday, from May through October, to sell locally grown and made products.
The market is held in a large parking area bordered by the Winooski River.
Live music every week and special events throughout the season make the market a gathering place for Central Vermont residents.
Fresh vegetables and fruits, quality meats, specialty cheeses, artisan bread, baked goods, ethnic foods, …and much more
Join us and see how much Vermont has to offer!
The purpose of the Capital City Farmers Market is to provide area residents and visitors with a marketplace where they may purchase the freshest produce from local growers.
Supporting Vermont’s agricultural economy is our main objective
In order to provide a complete marketplace for the consumer, the farmers market includes other entrepreneurs that utilize farm products such as bakers and crafts people.
All vendors are expected to utilize farm products.
